LSMHA 4 Yr Old Learn to Play Program

Lord Selkirk Minor Hockey is please to begin a 4 yr old Learn to Play program for players born in 2015 that are not able to register and play 5/6 Tim bits Hockey. This program is designed to teach players how to skate and introduce them to Hockey Sticks and pucks, we do understand that some kids may need to learn how to skate first prior to them being introduced to a Hockey Stick. 


This program will focus on introductory level skills and drills for this age group, the program will use the Hockey Canada IP information to ensure the kids will be ready for the next step next year when they are able to register and play 5/6 Tim Bits hockey. All players will be registered with LSMHA and Hockey Canada, players will be fully insured under Hockey Canada and as such coaches and on-ice personal will be require to have appropriate IP coaching certification and Respect in Sports for community leaders by Dec 1, 2019. At least one parent will also be required to complete the Respect in sports for Parent On-Line course to have their child properly registered for this program. 


The cost of of the program us $250 per player for the entire winter, there will be at least $125 due on Oct 20th and the Remainder will be due Jan 12th. The main goal of this program will be to teach the kids how to skate, introduce them a hockey stick and pucks but most importantly ensure the kids have fun and look forward to coming to the rink every Sunday. The program with consist of 15 ice times every Sunday at 8:45am @ The East Selkirk Arena.
